What is Chatex AI?

Chatex is an all-in-one AI workspace that lets users access multiple AI model families from a single interface. Instead of maintaining separate subscriptions or switching between different AI websites, users can work with models powered by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek and other providers within Chatex.

One of Chatex’s main features is its model selector, which allows users to switch models during a conversation and compare responses. This can be useful when different models perform better at different tasks such as writing, coding, reasoning, research, or creative work.

Chatex also combines several AI utilities beyond chat. The platform includes real-time web search, PDF and document analysis, image generation, image analysis, voice input and transcription, allowing users to complete research and content tasks without leaving the workspace.

Chatex is currently a web-only application. Its Help Center explicitly states that there is no official iOS or Android app, although the service can be accessed through mobile browsers.

AI research and fact-checking: Chatex is useful when users want to compare answers from multiple AI models instead of relying on a single model. Its built-in web search can provide current information, while model switching makes it possible to compare different responses to the same question.

Writing and content creation: Content creators can use different models for brainstorming, drafting, rewriting and editing. The ability to move between models within one workspace can be useful when a particular model produces better results for a specific type of writing.

Document and PDF analysis: Students, researchers and professionals can upload documents and ask questions about them, extract information, or generate summaries. Chatex currently supports PDF, image, CSV and TXT uploads, with file limits depending on the user's access level.

Everyday productivity and coding: Chatex can also be used for coding assistance, brainstorming, email writing, explanations and general problem-solving. Having several model families available in one interface allows users to choose a model according to the task.

Plans & pricing

Chatex currently offers introductory access for eligible new users, but its current pricing structure is primarily paid. The main monthly option starts with a 7-day paid trial for $1, after which it automatically converts to $29.99/month unless cancelled.

There are also longer billing options: $49.99 every 3 months and $89.99 every 6 months. The quarterly and six-month options do not use the $1 trial and begin immediately.

The current trial includes access to chat, AI Search, files/PDFs and image generation, with up to three images during the trial. Chatex describes the trial as a paid trial, so a payment method is required.
